La Merced, certified 100% Organic, yerba mate comes from a family – owned hacienda in NE Argentina that has been producing Yerba Mate since the 1920s. The mate bushes are grown in deep red soil using organic farming techniques, which means soil conservation, zero use of pesticides and herbicides and careful attention to every detail. The final product is a fine quality yerba, with a smooth, unsmoked, friendly flavor.

Medium flavor yerba mate made with stems. The stems add a slightly wooden taste and tend to make it a bit lighter. This is the most traditional and common Mate drinking style and is also known as yerba con palo.
